A one-of-a-kind veterinary clinic in Manhattan started in 1970, adopting a unique look after a brand refresh. While of course being animal lovers who can’t wait to see the pets they care for every day, Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic wanted to go a route with their marketing where instead of using photos of dogs and cats everywhere they would use illustrations mixed with strong color branding.
ASVC’s primary color palette was inspired by the old-charm, original-brick building the clinic is located, in the West Village neighborhood. The lighter blues and tan colors were added to create a fuller, modern palette that also helps tone down the brighter red look of the illustrations and icons. Overall, the use of color and illustration in ASVC’s brand give a progressive, and playful yet professional feel.
